1)World press freedom day is celebrated on every year , 3rd may . It is celebrated by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural organization.) HQ of UNESCO : Paris, France.
Formation : 16 Nov 1945. And 195 countries are members of this organization.
Theme of 2017 world press freedom day is "Critical minds for critical Times: Media's Role in Advancing peaceful , just and inclusive societies".
                          This International day was proclaimed by the UN General Assmebly in 1993.
BY following a Recommendation adopted at the 26th session of UNESCO's conference in 1991.

2)Madhya Pradesh become 1st state to shift to January to december financial year .This move breaks 150 year old tradition as India started adopting the April-March financial year from 1867.

3) "Tarang Sanchar" Portal Launched by Department of telecom. This portal is for information sharing on mobile towers and EMF Emission compliances.

4)"Mallikarjan Kharge" appointed as new chairman of " public accounts committe"(PAC) . The chairman of PAC is appointed by the speaker of Lok Sabha.

Supermoon is actually the largest size of moon seen from earth , It is appears when moon is closest to the earth .In this year the supermoon or full moon can appears two times and it is first time that it can seen two time in one month ie january 2018.
