Brief about Plant Tissue
PLANT TISSUE
Today we will discuss brief about plant tissue ,this topic is important in SSC selection exam general awareness section . And also this topic enhance your general approach towards general science.
So lets discuss today’s topic PLANT TISSUE.
# Anatomy:- Study of internal structure exposed after dissection is known as anatomy.
# Study of internal structure in plants is actually the study of their histology.
# Histology:- It is the study of tissues, their composition , structure and organisation as observed with the help of microscope.
#Tissue:- It is a group of cells performing similar functions.
#Plant tissues are different from Animal tissues because Plant Tissues possess plant cells which have hard cell wall which provide Them rigidity whereas animal tissues made up of Animal cells which have semi permeable elastic cell membrane instead of hard cell wall
Types of plant tissues:
Plant possesses two type of tissues .
1) Meristematic Tissue 2) Permanent Tissue
1)Meristematic Tissue:- It is actively dividing tissue that means they have ability to divide , they are always present in the regions where growth is continues all the time. Eg:- At the tip of the root and shoot (Stem) where growth of root and shoot takes place.
#Meristematic Tissues are of three types on the basis of position in the plant.
A) Apical Meristem , B) Intercalary Meristem, C) Lateral Meristem
A) Apical Meristem:-( Apical means At the apex ) These are the meristematic tissue which are present at the tip of the root and stem.
B) Intercalary Meristem:- These are the meristematic tissue which are present above or below the nodal region of the stem where new branches arises .
C)Lateral Meristem:- This are the meristematic tissue which are lies at the lateral sides of the plant which helps to increase the girth of the plant.
2) Permanent Tissue:- Permanent tissue are those group of cells in which division capability is ceases .
On the other hand we say that these are those maristematic tissue Which looses there ability to divide and now become permanent .Permanent tissues are of two types.
A) Simple permanent Tissue , B) Complex Permanent Tissue.
A)Simple Permanent Tissue:- Simple permanent tissue are those tissues which are made up of same kind of cells performing same function .
They are furthere divided into three types
A) Parenchyma ,B) Collenchyma , C) Sclerenchyma
B) Complex Permanent tissue:- These are those type of tissues which are made up of different kind of cells performing same functions.
They are further divided into two types
.
A) Xylem , B) Phloem
