1) 23rd meeting of the GST Council held at Guwahati today.
Important updating news for this Council meeting from press information bureau.
In this council meeting ,major recommendation on GST composition scheme are given below,
a) Uniform rate of tax @ 1% under composition scheme for manufacturers and
traders (for traders, turnover will be counted only for supply of taxable goods). 
b) No change for composition scheme for restaurant.
c) Annual turnover eligibility for composition scheme will be increased to Rs 2 
crore from the present limit of Rupees 1 crore under the law. Thereafter, 
eligibility for composition will be 
increased to Rs. 1.5 Crore per annum.
2) Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has planned to conduct State specific APY mobilization Campaigns under the title “People First”. This campaigns start from UP . UP is the largest State in the country with a population of 7.1 crore in the APY scheme age group of 18-40 years.
3)NITI Aayog  Proposed ambitious projected Electric vehicle quick pilot in the Gurgaon-IGI-South Delhi-Noida corridor. This proposal for developing the pilot includes 55 locations with 135 charging stations of which 46 are DC quick charging stations and 89 are slower AC charging stations. This deployment would require co-operation with state governments, selected government authorities and companies as well as some private enterprises.

      Modern History notes 1) Jyotirao Govindrao Phule (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890), also known 11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890), also known as Jotiba Phule was an Indian social activist, a thinker, anti-caste social reformer and a writer from Maharashtra. 1).
