1) President appoint new governors of five states.
a) Brigadier B D Mishra (Rett.) appointed governor of Arunachal Pradesh .
b) Satya pal malik appointed governor of Bihar . He was twice elected as member of Rajya Sabha and once in Lok Sabha.
c) Banwarilal Purohit appointed governor of Tamil Nadu .Prior to this appointment he was governor of Assam.
d) Prof. Jagdish Mukhi appointed governor of Assam . Previously he was Lieutenant governor of Andman & Nicobar Islands.
f) Ganga prasad he was appointed as the governor of meghalaya.
g)Davindra kumar joshi he was appointed as Lt. governor of Andman & Nicobar islands.

2) Defence ministry of india rolled out new software named ARPAN 3.0 (Army Record Office Process Automation 3.0)  . This software was jointly developed by Army software development centre (ASDC) & tech. Mahidra using State of the Art web based technology.

Supermoon is actually the largest size of moon seen from earth , It is appears when moon is closest to the earth .In this year the supermoon or full moon can appears two times and it is first time that it can seen two time in one month ie january 2018. This supermoon also called as blood moon because it is seems to be redish in color . This supermoon seems redish because it is total lunar eclipse.
