8) Major movements of Gandhi Ji .
a) Khilafat Movement: Gandhi Ji  in the year 1919 approached Muslims , he found the position of congress was quite weak and unstable. Khilafat movement is all about the world wife protest against the status of caliph by Muslims. This movement collapsed badly in 1922 and throughout their journey Gandhi ji fought against communalism , but the gap b/w hindus and Muslims widened.
b) Champaran Stayagreha: In 1918 he started champaran staygreha a movement against British landlords. Kheda in the year 1918 was his badly by floods and farmers wanted to relief from Tax. So for this purpose his give support to famers and start champaran Stayagreaha. This movement also known as Kheda movement.
c)  NON- Cooperation movement: In 1 aug 1920 Gandhi ji start Non coorperation movement for against British and forced him to leave his country. This non-violent movement is major weapon of Gandhi Ji.
d)Quit India Movement : This was a civil disobedience movement launched in the year 1942. The “Do or Die” phrase used here.
e) Salt Satyagreha movement: Also called Dandhi march, It was an achieve movement carried out in the year 1930.
                          Gandhi ji started focusing on expanding initiative against untouchability alcoholism and removal of all bad habits . The salt march mainly known as salt satyagreh which began with dandi march in the 1930.
8) In 30 jan 1948 , Nathuram godse , a Hindu nationalist assassinated Gandhi ji by firing three bullets into his chest.
